though cfs2 was fun it just seems geeky to use video game clips in a history report. just watch the movie, ive seen it a million times.
the important thing to know about midway is that neither fleet saw eachother. the battle was fought air to air and air to sea. a big mistake the japaneese made was that they couldnt decide weather to use torpedoes or bombs. seeing as the torpedoes were heavyer they required more fuel to get to their target. but before the battle they had closed in close enough to use torpedoes, so the weapon change delayed the launch of the wing. the american torpedo bombers were already in the air. i cant remember if the japaneese used kamekazi attacks in this battle. the torpedo bomber's onlly mission was to drop their torps, they werent that good against the zeros so would return to the carriers right away. the fighters also carried bombs as well, after diveboming them in o the decks then taking out fighters as ammo and fuel allowed. for the americans very rarely would a fighter engage the enemy with a bomb attached, the zeros were too manuverable and the parasite drag would slow down your manuvering. take a zero for a spin and you will know what i mean, them are fast little buggers. iirc the yorktown i believe was badly damaged and had to be scuttled. midway was a major american victory in the war, after wich the japaneese started loosing ground.
