freespace 2 problems

I just put freespace 2 in the computer, all the sound works except for the voice. I can hear anybody talke, i have the new patch. I dont understand why the voice wouldnt work when all other sounds work

Re-install it. That's happened to me on several occasions, and re-installing always worked for me.
