This is in deed strange... :nervous:

Would it be feasable for these world events to have a effect on a pc?  I guess not.
It would though explain, my pc`s weirdness.. :shaking:

Sounds interesting.  Unfortunately it also sounds like they can't do anything useful with it yet.

Thankfully, yeah. I'm not at all sure that this is something I would like to see investigated further, much less acted upon.

how exactly is it "predicting" events? is it giving out a bunch of numbers where one of the thousands of ways it can be interpereted is that there might be a bombing some time at some place, or does it put up on a screen in plain text " The WTC will be bombed at 8:45 AM on september 11th 2001"

because if the info it too vague, then it means bugger all.

Unfortunately, yes. Seriously, I don't think that movie deserves to be mentioned within 100 yards of a serious scientific theory.

Ben Affleck and what looks remarkably like Uma Thurman in a cookie-cutter sci-fi action thriller about time travel. The science was particularly bad, even by Hollywood standards.

Simpicity of character is the natural resualt of profound thought

"I was not sure of its beginning...nor was I sure of it's end. I am reminded of ideas I first encountered in The Golden Bough, a study in magic and religion. We are bound by a very human need to weave a web of meaning where there may be none."

It's interesting, I suppose, but not a very full accounting.  And it is awfully easy to see patterns in anything if you try to.  I'd imagine when you federal funding is dependent on those patterns, it might be a bit easier.

From what I got , a 'sign' would look something like this (a gap)

0100001001011010000000000000000000000000000101010101010

Edit: Bleh, that should all be one line.

When it can give me accurate lottery numbers for the next weeks drawing call me.
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

I wonder how many "signs" it gives out each day. And then when something horrible happens, they search for a sign that happened around then and go "SEEE!!! IT PREDICTED IT!"

This just seems too much like the bible code and Nostredamus thing to me. Each year printing out a new revised book of each that covers the latest tragedies. Meh...
I have returned... Again...

Yeah okay. But somewhere out there, something is watching us.  There are alien forces acting in ways we can't perceive. Are we alone in the universe? Impossible. When you consider the wonders that exist all around us, Voodoo priests of Haiti, Tibetan Numerologists of Appalachia. The unsolved mysteries of ...unsolved mysteries. The truth...is out there!
