i'm pulling out of a gas station, going about 5 mph heading toward the street (going through the parking lot) and suddenly the car just scrapes to a stop. at first i thought someone hit me, then i thought i'd gone into a hole. i got out, looked at the back of the car... the back left side is as high as my chest. i walk around to the front right: it's sitting on the ground

if you can't see... the wheel is resting between the ground and the wheel well (plastic). i didn't take a picture, but behind the wheel the lower A-Arm (suspension) is on the ground. i'd lost my front right bearing

now towing a car like this is tricky, because you have to pull it onto the flatbed tow truck from the back, but with a car this long (18 feet, 8 inches) if you raise the already high back-end up, the front bumper (all chrome) will scrape. and there's nothing worse than scraped chrome

anyway, since it no longer has the bearing, as soon as the car began to be pulled back onto the tow truck's bed, the wheel turned half around, and i almost s**t a brick.

so yeah. there goes tomorrow morning. a good 2 hours and $50 or so gone, that is if the lower control arm isn't damaged too
now i'm just glad this didn't happen on the highway, because i would've been in deep trouble if this had happened at 85 miles per hour :-/
