Ok, I've done some searching and stuff but haven't been able to find anything, so...
I got the HOtU version, downloaded the vps from the FTP, and got FS_Open, followed all the instructions to set things up, etc.
However, I'm having problems with the voices. In the speech tab of the launcher and in the Tech Room, the voice plays, but at super-fast speed, so I can't even undertand what it's saying.
During the missions, there's no speech at all, which makes the training missions a pain because the little text windows pop up and disappear so fast I can only read about the first line or two, and during the normal missions it's difficult to follow the happenings without constantly pausing to read the text since it's not talking to me.
I was under the impression that the VPs were supposed to take care of this, but they don't seem to do anything. Also, when I delete all the viles from data\voice (but not the directories), the game won't run.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on what the problem might be here.
