the proces returns 80% of the energy, so if you produce 100 gallons of oil it takes 20 gallons to produce, it is very much in the black. of course it depends on what you put in to it, the best stuff is plastic, followed by fatty waist, followed by papers and stuff like that, but over all the process produces more energy than it uses.

They talk about the energy demands in this article. I cant find it exactly, but the energy required isnt too extensive (maybe around 500 btu) Im not sure.   Anyway, I have been following this for a long time now and there are a lot of resources to read if you google it.

anyway... we can make diamonds artifically (using the exact same process the earth uses), why not oil?  The hydrocarbons are not difficult to produce because the earth does it all the time.

Aaw... jsut when I thought the world was going to get cleaner... :(

Oh well. If they work out a way to convert **** into power, I can see the future atleast with each household with its own powerplant.

THE YEAR 2145

"Timmy?!"
"yes mom?"
"The tv's out again, we need more power."
"but mom, I just came back from the bathroom!"
"You get back there and give it all you've got!"
*mumble.*
*Door slams...*
"Ngggh! Nyaaaah..."
*plop plop*
*The tv blazes to life*
"Thats better honey."
I have returned... Again...

I say we should make oil out of cannabis. We'd still be screwed, we just wouldn't care as much ;)
