Hard Drive Jiggery-pokery
K, so I finally du-fux0red the puter. But somehow, at some point, the secondary hard disk has buggered up. All I can tell you is that Partition Magic and Disk Management are reporting the file system as 'Foreign'. The hardware is recognised OK, Winders just isn't having it.

What I'm after is suggestions for a fix0r (bearing in mind this drive has most all the games, films, pr0n and whatnot) or failing that, my chances of professional data recovery...

Well, professional data recovery is probably worth a lot more then 250GB of warez, at least  if you don't count the cost of store-buying all that stuff.

As for recovering the stuff yourself, or even getting the hardware back, to me it sounds like yer buggered, unless you can pull more or less the same stunt Maeg had you do on the other drive.

I hate Partition Magic, it has screwed up untold drives in my experience.

Sounds like a job for Norton Disk Doctor or the like to be honest, and I'm not particularly fond of that either :(

Try this program: http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/UK/welcome.htm

Worked very well for me, and it's free. Good luck :)
