If you've got a constructive comment to make, then say it.  If you've only got drivel to spout, take it somewhere else - because it doesn't help anyone, and it doesn't enrich our lives any more.

I'd actually take that one step back, as you don't need modeling experience to say what you don't like about a model.  Constructive criticism - that which points out concerns you may have about the shape or direction the model is going - is perfectly fine.  But to say it's not good without saying why is like telling a girl you've never seen that she's fat.  You just shouldn't do it.

Like, um....

the point is....this is a thread about the model.  I bet i can shoot better than aldo or raa.  but can i model like them?  hell no.  so for me to say..."looks like ****" is a grave disservice not to them or the talent that they posess, but instead it is a grave disservice to all of the community.  because while I may be outdo either of them at something away from the freespace community, i certainly cannot achieve what they have within said community, so what i can beat them at doesn't matter to this community.  however the quality of that model does matter within these confines and in this context.  The best i can hope for is to say...i think that this would look cool.....and then tell them.

I would not think to disrespect someone else's talent when i haven't got that same talent.  if you are seriously wanting to disrespect the talent that raa has, by all means then do so, but do so after showing off your own talent, and thereby earning the right.

if there are too many large words in that for you, please allow me to simplify things:  put up or shut up.

and turumbar i was having that same thought a couple of nights ago.  instead of terran ships influenced by vasudan design, i would love to see vasudan ships influenced by terran design.
