Don't forget Serbia and uhm, the botched attempt in Belarus. There is almost without a doubt "media management" going on, but that's nothing new. I don't think its fair to paint the entire opposition, here or anywhere else, with the same brush as the USAID/Soros crowd, just cause the Western sugar daddies are partly behind it. I'm actually quite ambiguous on the issue, because the governments being rallied against in this latest round of revolutions are thugs down to the last, it just so happens that the legitimate opposition and cynical Western interest meet....or something.
edit: My position is that I support enforcing the Taif Agreement, and then take it from there. For all the undue influence and protection racketeering, the Syrian presence probably does have its uses.
