remember when someone was working on replacing the randomly scattered nebulas in the retail FS2 campaign with aesthetically arranged versions of Lightspeed's nebulas?

i think half the problem with env-mapping is that whats being reflected doesnt look right in the first place

Where are the half-ready high-poly models from this list? I remember the Zeus and the Medusa have a high-poly untextured mesh. There must be other models which are only half-ready.

How about Mikhael's old Mjollnir model? I recall Galemp and someone else had created textured versions that were never released. Both looked great -- and infinitely better than the stock model and textures.....

Isn't this Mjolnir released?

A search suggests that the model was sent to Styxx, but I don't see that it was ever finished. A pity as the Mjolnir is a mighty ugly model in stock FS......

I tend not to get excited by Überizations of existing ships.

EDIT: Which is why I don't notice them much.  THough that orion is awesome.
