I'm currently in Florida with my crew team, doing some preseason training over our spring break. The other day, coach laid down the law and said that in the morning, for every minute that you were late to practice, you'd row 1000 meters on the erg. Well, this morning my alarm goes off at 7am. First words through my head: Oh s***. I thought I had set it for 6am. Practice started at 6:30. I got dressed as quickly as I could and sprinted down to the docks, making it there by 7:04. My prize? 34000 meters on the ergometer after practice. Luckily, coach thought that 34k was a bit extreme so he cut it down to 20k. It took me a bit over 90 minutes to finish the whole thing and I now feel like I could go to sleep and never wake up again. And I've got practice starting again in an hour. Sweet. [/end rant]
