you know in the movie, when they got the partal address I never understud why they wouldn't simply try all of them, they have 6 out of 7 symbols, meaning there would only be trying each symbol on the gate once.

Shepard survives - I reckon he gets beamed away by the newly arrived Daedelus.
McKay, Beckett IIRc Weir all survive - so the city almost certainly does.
Ford gets abducted by the Wraith and turned into a sort of super-soldier... he's only a recurring character, though, rather than a regular.
It's likely the marine..er..officer dies, as  Mitch Pileggis' character takes over (possibly comes on Daedelus).

More wilds stuff that might happen apparently includes;
Asgard joins the series / team
They find another Atlantis-style city

Nope.  He's a 'recurring character', not a series regular.

Apparently, he gets kidnapped by the Wraith and turned into a sort of superhuman soldier, dependent on the wraith for an enzyme to survive (you'll note this idea was done in SG-1 before, with yon bounty hunter addicted to goauld drugs).  He escapes, kills a Wraith for the enzyme, and becomes convinced his new state holds the key to killing the Wraith.

I am a nerd and all of my friends are nerds.  We like nerdy things.  We also like doing all sorts of things that buck the stereotype.  Like soccer and drinking...but I'm probably a nerd at those too because I like em, I know lots about em, and so forth.

Oh no, Ace, I am very interested in the topic.  I love watching people and reading their reactions.  Obviously, it's a little harder with such an impersonable medium, but I like a challange.  I just find that the general vibe coming from the replies reeks of nerd-dom.
