Where can i get FRED2 vanilla?

Because my FRED2 is not working, nor is the FRED2Open. I figure, "IF i get a new one, it will be working, and will be fixed! YayyY!".

Check them all. There's only three of them.

And Kv1at can't be right about it not being on CD. The game doesn't compile exe's on it's own, it just copies them. If it could compile them, the source would be on the CD, and we'd have had the source code project years ago :p

And since the link to "FRED!" in the recent builds forum isn't exactly around, that isn't all that helpful.  Seriously, if you need something from online, just wait a day or so for this board madness to get resolved.

Actually Phreak posted an even newer build over on Game-Warden.

FRED 1.2, in fact all the upgrades from the patch to v1.2 are in this download

Actually, PhReAk's most recent FRED build dates to March 24th.  No new builds of either FRED or FSO (unless you count Bob's Cell-shading or the Linux builds) have been posted since the 26th.

I have checked all three CD's and I can say, beyond a reasonable doubt, that FRED2 is not on them in a ready to use form.

i.e. You'd need to install the game to get at it, or try to open up some of those archives.

Eh. Ok. So yeah, it's in a cab file.... oh well.

If he's having trouble with Fred, though, I doubt a new copy of vanilla will change anything. He'll probably have to reinstall it.
