Elfen Lied is gore and nudity galore...and I love it.

...which just prooves how much of a creep I am.

(+lotsa angst and good old fashioned tear jerking tragedy - yeah King Oidipus got me hooked on those....nothing like a good tragedy)
"I was going to become a speed dealer. If one stupid fairytale turns out to be total nonsense, what does the young man do? If you answered, “Wake up and face reality,” you don’t remember what it was like being a young man. You just go to the next entry in the catalogue of lies you can use to destroy your life." - John Dolan

More than the gore, it's the psycholgical violence that's disturbing in this show. Anybody having seen episode 5 will understand what I'm talking about. Still, this was one hell of a sweet anime.
That being said : age due to Elfen Lied content :p
Man is making better fool proof machines everyday. Nature is making bigger fools everyday. So far, Nature is winning.

Hey I see that stuff day to day and no one seems to give a **** about it...or maybe having read most of Sven Hassel's books finally made me realize that humanity is evil most of the time.

I just rewatched the first episode (was trying to see if I had the uncut or cut version) and I noticed something I completely missed the first time. Did anyone else notice that Nyuu was humming? (This is in the first 5 minutes of the anime)
Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

Heh, the first anime I ever watched was called 'Over-something'. All I can remember is that within the first 5 minutes it had already entered full gore/porn fest. It was quite funny, since my then girlfriend's granddad was there at the time

I suppose you're talking about urotsukidoji, also know in the US as Legend of the Overfiend. It's only THE anime of reference for tentacular/monster porn :D
