Could be some kind of incredibly strong magnetic field, since this would intefere with kinetic weapons (which are magnetically accelerated), work very well on plasma weaponry and have some affect on energy weapons, although I can't be bothered to figure out how that would work.

I've just skimmed over this, but sub-space nodes are *not* at L-points, period.

Natural nodes would be formed in regions with the highest interacting gravatational forces.

Take for instance Sol, there would be many natural in-system nodes in the Jovian system at positions near Io and Europa orbits.

We know that Sol's inter-system node was in Earth-Luna orbit, maintaining a position near the moon.

Nodes are tied to the gravitational fields, and so "move" with their hosts.

Most nodes are short-lived, so the interactions that form them are also more advanced then simple gravity.

More than likely, jumps at L-Points require more energy than other jumps due to the weakened conditions, which leads way into some interesting defense theories.

As for sub-space weapons, they would be quite devastating due to sub-spacial shearing as well as sub-space disrupts shielding systems.

The problem would be requiring a mass to help control the device, as well as to conserve energy.

The Sathanases required *massive* amounts of energy to create a super-nova, and by using sub-space with no mass fields save the star, the power requirements are exponentially higher.

The end result is that for the GTVA to even hope to field such weaponry even on the scale of a "planet killer" or bombardment device, a neutron star would have to be used as an anchor.

This leads to some interesting ideas, eh?

Um... we do?

Yes, the end cutsceen of FS1  silly

The Lucifer jumped out, and as the allied ships flew away we saw the moon and the Earth, the moon was quite large in the scene
