FelixMajor, you have no room to use my name as a man who can "move on". I was simply saying that I don't play SC much anymore; I never came anywhere near your position of bashing SC.

I put a few good words in about it, and I think you, sir, need to grow up and move on.
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

True enough.  But a sloppy or poorly-though-out post shows ones ignorance, or one's laziness. Both qualities are negative in nature, and both are present in most young posters.  By assuming that a person is young and immature, you are in fact giving that person the benefit of the doubt, and assuming that it's not a lazy or ignorant 28 year old, but merely an understandably lazy or ignorant 11 year old.
On topic-
I loved starcraft when I played it. It is, IMHO, one of the best and truest real time strategies ever made. To say that there's no strategy, and that a few cheap tricks will bag a win for you, doesn't do justice to the amout of time people STILL spend competing in this game. Why would they keep playing if it was that simple. For every strategy, there's a counter-strategy.
I understand the reasoning, however- I get my head handed to me every time I play an RTS with a friend of mine; I COULD just go 'meh, he just whored the paladins and rushed me, how lame', or I could sit back and realize that If I had expected the onslaught, I could have defended myself. I don't think RTS-ish, I'm just not good at that mode of competition.
I also play CS, another game where people who suck at it sit back and say 'hah, all you have to do is camp/rush/drop the bomb/ by x weapon/ and you win. It's so lame'. Also not true, I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum with this tactical FPS- CS, like SC, is a defining game for it's genre-. I think very well in that environment, and there's a strategy and set of rules and tactics in CS. I hand my friend's head to HIM in CS.
Some people aren't competitive in different genres; they just arent wired the same way. That's why the gaming industry is as diverse as it is, the demand is so varied. To bash any one genre, or a genre-defining game (because to insult SC is to insult Age of Empires, AoE II, The warcrafts, Empire Earth, Rise of Nations, the star wars RTS spinoffs; any game based on the rock-paper-scissors strategy of Starcraft and it's predecessors) because the path to victory seems stupid is arrogant and foolish.
And, if the poster ISNT ignorant, or a child(ish), then it's flamebait, and should have been ignored.

My big problem is that these days it seems like 90% of the focus is on real-time strategy, and I actually prefer turn-based games. Anyone ever play Imperialism? Man, that was a fun game.
