Personally, my fighter preference is not divided between Terran and Vasudan. It's a division of where the primary hardpoints are located. For example, Chasing a Herc 1 in a Tauret; the primary weapon fire is so spread out to port and starboard on that fighter that unless I perfectly align my ship to have the same "up" as the Herc, even when I hit, it's only with half of my lasers. On the Erinyes, however, the primaries are bunched close together and usually can all hit the target at once. IMHO that is also why the Erinyes is such a powerful fighter - it can make effective use of it's 8 primaries at once.
