I'm a huge fan of Litestep myself.  I'm using it at the moment and have my dekstop looking like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/Plicat/flodesk.jpg (you get that menu every time you rightclick on your desktop).

If you want to try it, just go here:

I've also tried Blackbox for windows and BBlean and both are pretty cool, you might want to check those out

Personnaly, I use Geoshell . But then, to each his own :D

I am currently using StyleXP 3.0 or something, its good. Nothing to fancy, mostly just colour sche,e changes but some of the stuff is pretty creative.

I've also used Astonshell awhile back and even went as far as making my own theme. Both are good shell replacements though.

Geoshell is good. I have a shot of it in the Desktop thread with a self-made skin, if you're interested.

Yeah, put it up WMC. I'm just running a humble WindowBlinds skin over here... :)

Cool. Nice bar of shortcuts you got there. ;)

Does it chew up much memory?

According to the Win2k task manager, with just it and Firefox open, geoshell.exe is only using 2120k of real memory, and 4668 k of VM. :)

That's due to it being pretty minimalist; everything is done via plug-ins. (ie I don't have a desktop plugin installed right now, or else my screen would be mighty more cluttered. ;) )

Blackbox is pretty good, it's very minimalistic though. If only fluxbox were ported to Windows...
