Been playing while I had a lot of offline time.  But I was wondering of what many of you thought of this for a basic design.

Looks pretty good so far, and it really keeps with the GTVA's tradition of making ships that look like Guns (a Colossal sized Shotty anyone? )

It looks a little too much like a gun, a cannon specifically or something from the techroom.  That's a decent place to go with this, by the way; I just don't see the destroyer working as well as you may expect it to.

Oooh. it'd look pretty cool if you you extruded the parts that are currently sticking out the most on the sides and made them into engines.

Since when do ships that look like guns have to be guns? What's wrong with ships that look like cylinders? Cylinders are some of the strongest shapes we've got, stronger than boxes especially.

Reminds me @ first glance of The Probe from Star Trek: The Voyage Home, only way cooler.

The cylender will only be strong when it takes on pressure from the whole end, so in the case of this ship, mabye it would be good for ramming

Yeah, a bit more the Avenger, but eh. I'm partial to the first weapon I used in FS, so that was the first thing that jumped in my mind.
