cool. having a job is kinda nice, as it gets you money to get more computer stuff. :)

which incidentally is about the reason I got myself a job this summer. I think it'll be a powerbook :D

Yay, now you can make money and stop mooching off your family. Seriously though, it's good to see someone getting a job instead of leeching off of welfare.

Actually, you know, that reminds me, I recently got a job. Well, it's not really one. I tutor my girlfriend's 15-year-old sister in maths... I didn't want to accept, but they pay me. Well, it earns money right?

Yeah, I know what you mean. The work I've done in the past has all been pretty dull. That's one of the reasons why I'm so looking forward to getting into the classroom... working with people, and children who are all unique, is going to be a challenge and a blast. I'm sure your job will pick too - give it a little bit of time. :)

I had to think a little while before I even understood what you meant. Thanks... I think. :p

I'm a public math tutor for my university. I just sit in a certain area and people come to me with math questions.

Actually what is great about this job is that if I work night hours, not many people come by most of the time. So I can just sit there and do whatever I want. I'm paid by the hour. :thepimp:

I also can make my own hours (within certain periods of time). I can come late. I can not come at all (I don't get paid as much if I came late and I don't get paid at all if I don't come). It's great.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Eh, just bring some sort of entertainment to work with you.
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.
