but why oh why do the Freespace planets have to have that black fuzz around them?

Just checked;

roughly 250-500 ships (1300 sub-objects)
85000 polys.

I'll probably redo it once I've got all the new ships done, and found a decent background.

GTD Ogre - Orion replacement.  Needs work on the basic hull, though (plus turreting), which is why I haven't put it further in the foreground.  (I was wondering if anyone would notice     )

 
   

Needs a little work on the front, plus 8 massive pulse laser turrets, which I've still to add on.

I have a really cool mini-carrier / corvette, but i can't show it as it's a secret for another campaign
