I love the hull as a WIP, hate the description. That hanger looks much smaller than that of a Hatshepsut, and I don't see how, with half the length devoted to that little tail, that the thing would have room for more/bigger reactors. A little less uber, a little more practical, and you've got a winner. It looks like a large corvette+fighterbay, which is cool, but not 1.6km large.
Random tip: scale it so that the size of the launch tubes match those on the Hatshepsut.
It's not really meant to be "uber" as such, but point taken. It's supposed to be halfway between a corvette and a destroyer. The fighterbay is meant to be small, and it'd have less armour than a destroyer ( perhaps ~90,000 hp compared to the Hatshepsut's 120k). Thanks for your feedback.

A like the shape, but I agree that it looks a bit smaller than 1.6km; it's the lack of variation in the shape, IMO ships made of a single large section(or set) with a generally unbroken shape tend to look smaller.
Albeit, seeing as it is a WIP, I'm assuming you'll be adding some form of detail to the upper 'shell' in particular for exactly that purpose
Reminds me of a fighter I made ages & ages ago, for some reason.
Yeah, I want to break it up by putting a few little extrusions on it, or maybe some trenches or something. The front "shell" I'm happy with in terms of the shape, but the back one is crap. I wanted to put a conning tower or a fin on it, but everything I tried looked awful. I also want to put a "trailing" fin on it, either from the bottom of the keel or from the fighterbay bulge....

i kinda like it. the underside is nice but the upper surface needs some variation. it might be as simple as throwing a couple parabolic indentations into either side of the hull. it would make a good place to mount a beam
. (damn i love that smiley).
It is rather bland at the moment, I agree. I need to experiment a bit and see what looks good. I'm rather more worried about the rear "shell" as it is, but we'll see. As for beam

s (

), they'll probably go on the "chin", where the keel comes up to the bow, and on each side of the central hull. I may give it a couple of torpedo tubes, though....

The final size may change, but it should end up between 1000 and 1600 metres. I've changed the description slightly to fit.
