i just ran the first 2 missions of silent threat campaign and it too does not have any of the visual upgrades of SCP the backgroung is just black. Another thing i would like to know is where can i download the movies for silent threat campaign

By movies I assume you mean cutscenes. There are none for Silent Threat.
Are you using the FS2 campaign port, or the original ST campaign for FS1? (Just making sure).
If you're using FS1 - SCP is only for FS2.

If you're using FS2 - The FS Port doesn't use the new backgrounds, unless you put them in yourself.

You have to open it up in FRED2. You should try reading the Wicci and the tutorials around the site. Also try karajorma's signature.

The ported version never had backgrounds, because it origonally being FS1 just had those static backgrounds that aren't compatable in FS2. ST is such crap though, that i don't think the port team bothered to do any, as they were working on ST:R.

Actually it does, after a little bit of work.  I got them working for the icculus.org version of FS1.  I didn't think about that before but maybe I need to get with Goober and see if we can't work something out where it has the ability to use those old background nebs for the port.

Yeah it'd certainly be after the freeze since I'm neck deep in bug fixing right now.  It's only been about 2 and a half years since I did that so I can't remember the details off the top of my head.  I remember struggling with it in the beginning due to color and gamepallete issues but it turned out to be much easier to get working than I had originally thought.  Also I had done it in a way that was one or the other so that's the part that we'll have to work out so as not to break anything.

What do you mean, "another"?  It's been almost a year since the last one.  We try to have them before every major release.

Silent Threat didn't have any actual cutscenes. There were some movies included on the disk however that you can find in avi format  here

Is the FS1 and ST campaign for SCP ?

I have been playing it under SCP, and it just.. doesnt, really.. work..

ive managed to get a few missions in more by luck than anything else. Currently stuck where im supposed ot disable the Taranis but i cant even target its subsystems let alone disable it. The previous mission was just as daft and i had to blow the cruiser up myself..
