The second link just loads the applet without any of the paramaters that control its size like what would be used in the web page in the first link so it simply expands to fit the available size of your browser window. The font difference could simply be an artefact of the vector resizing (I assume at least the text is vectored, the backgrounds and frog sprite quite clearly aren't) that takes place as a result.

You do know that HOTU offers JJ1 and JJ2 TSF (it's classed as an expansion pack, but technically it's a standalone JJ2 game)? Not that it would entertain everyone for very long... it used to be great, but it has turned into an on-off thing, really.
