I play Tekken a lot too. Especially now that I have Tekken Tag Tournament on PS2. Paul's been my main man since the origional Tekken and Lei is also one of my favorites. Lately i've been working on mastering Heihachi and King. Mutithrow city baby! =)

They say this film has Cid in it (he hasn't failed to be in a FF Title so far). What about all the other frequently used charachters; like Biggs, Wedge and the animals; Chocobos and Mogs and all the summon monsters such as Ifrit and Shiva Don't tell me they've abandoned them

a guy working on the movie said that chocobos were definitively in it,; but people would have to be careful or something along the lines...

Maybe the freaky tentacled alien things were the chocobos, or one of the other phantoms. Who knows. =P As far as I could tell Cid was the ONLY thing in the whole movie that had any connection to the games.

On a similar line of thought is it worth buying FF7 on PC-CD? I don't know how accurate the conversion was so I'm a little apprehensive.

Do you any of you have a PS2? Their going to release the FF Movie for the PS2, in which you can change camera angles and other neat things.

I gotta stop using humorous siggies, they're making everyone miss what I actually intended them to read

FF7 is the BEST game in the series, with far more gameplay than FF8. I'm not sure about the PC version though, but the game is certainly worth getting

Does anyone have FF9?

Had it, played it, beat it, sold it =)
Its great, I liked it a lot better than FF8 OR 7. It has some really funny and pretty movie sequences, and the gameplay is pretty good too. They do a really good job of forcing you to use all your characters fairly evenly, and there aren't too many of them like there are in some games.
Honestly I didn't like 8 as much as 7... 8 was just TOO FREAKING EASY. I swear, most of the bosses in the game you can finish off with ONE limit break from Irvine, its just stupidly easy.

So you've beat emerald(under sea)weapon then?
I like the optional events in FF7 which are longer and more enjoyable than those in FF8. You do need to do every optional event in FF7 to fully understand the story as opposed to FF8 where they are more optional.

I think you're confused. Emerald weapon is in FF7 which I said WASN'T as stupidly easy. FF8 just has the Ultima (or Omega? i don't remember...) weapon at the top of the final boss' tower, and that IS stupidly easy if you know how. The thing about those uber-boss fights is that generally, there's only ONE way you can do it. If you do it that way, its easy. If you don't, its impossible. Against the final weapon in FF8 you HAVE to use Holy Wars and other invulnerability tricks or theres just no way to kill it.

Double Summon Knights of the round and Phonix and give Mime to more than one person in FF7 and you are INVINCIBLE

Now it's Nina and Brian Fury, both are immensly lethal. The thing that killed the game play IMO was the lack of reversals for all characters, Krap, I could write a scientific paper on this (mental note - Shuddup Martin, you're beginning to bore the non believers).

...! No BS! That's so damn cool... Go the cop with the long hair and the five-style martial arts skills.

Bah. Tekken really is jack squat compared to Street Fighter Ex 3

Tekken? The grphics are okay. Street Fighter Ex 3 graphics are a bit too angular.

If they could make the Street Fighter characters as realistic as the characters in the Final Fantasy movie, I would buy it and play it immediately!

Here's a one million dollar questiion: if Aki Ross was real, would you dump your girlfriend for her?
