To anyone who says iPods suck: My iPod and I are very happy together, and we'll be damned if we'll let you make derisive remarks about our relationship.

Seriously though, wtfbbq? Why does everyone think they suck?

"'Cause they do!"

well...that's the best response I've heard to that question so far. That and mumblings about battery life, which aren't untrue.

It was supposed to be C++...I never learned C.
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

They don't suck for what they are, they suck for how much they cost.  Time and time again, Apple has proven that when we buy their products, we buy the Apple name, and the Apple design (which happens to be very nice, admitedly).  They cost roughly 60% more than an equivalent MP3 player.
Bunny stole my signature :(.

Sorry boobies.

 Hard drives aren't built for that kind of abuse. They work fine as long as they stay still. You need a flash memory MP3 player for your purposes.

If I ever get it fixed I'll probably tack it on my waist, instead of, effectively, shaking it up and down for 2 or 3 hour periods several times a week.

EDIT: I have an old 128mb flash player, but I need to find some duct-tape to hold the battery in...
