Hey! I'm not sure if this is the correct place to be posting this, but it there a way to enable cinematics in FS2 open? when I play it, I don't get the cenematics in play, and is really pooping on the story for me.

Also, you may be interested that I am attempting to get a bunch of gamers that play Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries into FS2. of them seem really interested.

We are a league that plays a 2000 era game and we are making mods to revive the game as well, so I see a lot of parallels. thx!

I am assuming that you put these in your default fs2 directory?

I cannot download thumbs.db, it says I am forbiddden, can you send me a mirror? thx!

You don't need thumbs.db.  It's a windows generated preview file IIRC, it is in no way used by or needed for FS2.

Where do I put the movies? i put them in the default directory, and it did not display when I started the game.

The cutscenes will not display with FS2_Open 3.6.5 due to a bug in that particular build. Anything newer than that in the recent builds forum should work.

doh sry for being such a pain in the arse, but I do not have the codecs to play these vids. Anyone know where I can find 'em?

Someone should sticky a blazing "LOOK HERE TO GET CUTSCENES WORKING" at the top of the SCP forum, imo.
Anyway, they're avis, you should be able to play them with the latest version of WMP, update it if you have to.

I do have WMP 10. I have divx and all that good stuff. when I click on them, i get this.

Do a google search for a codec pack then - I'm not sure which one you need though.

You need the Divx Codex.

Tried the Divx, and got nothing. They won't work in game ethier. I'll uninstall all codecs, and reinstall the important ones.

Those codec packs I directed you to also include the DivX codecs.
