Good multiplayer games?
I'm getting a bit bored of Call of Duty and I can't run Battlefield 2 because I 'only' have a GF5600.

Any suggestions? (not subscriptions-based/MMO)

Anarchy Online was fun for a little while... 's a few years old now, and the game, and online are free (so long as you stick to the base game, and not get any upgraded packs)

What server(s) do you usually play CoD on?

I'd suggest Halo2 for Xbox... :p

I like to play Natural Selection everynow and then for Half Life. It's an old mod, but still pretty fun in the right servers. If you can put up with all the steam crap, its sometimes pretty fun... :)

Um... Foe (>32) is the only one I really remember, also the Ghurkas server and sometimes the Jolt one.  Normally TDM or Domination on european servers with between 20-32 players.

Ahhh, my ping would probably be too high on those servers. :(

This might sound a bit redundant, but have you tried the United Offensive expansion for CoD?  If you're bored with CoD's core gameplay then you're probably not going to find much to like, but I've been enjoying the new maps, weapons, and tanks for UO's multiplayer as of late.

I have UO; got it on release.  But there's only so long you can play the one thing for before getting bored, and there's also bugger all servers playing domination these days.

Guild Wars? It's a mmorpg (sort of, it's more a hack and slash where you can choose human people as team mates tahn a rpg imho), but no subscription fee.

EVE online is something you can run without a susbscription, buts a MMORPG. You need a lot of email adresses and you'll restart your char every 14 days, but ships and stuff can be saved in a corporation hangar. (The WS people have a corp going, some fun.)

Americas Army used to be fun, but the latest patch won't install, and I stopped bothering soon after that, so I can't judge.

FS2, well, if you can find any people on....

CS Source, if you don't mind the chat or the idiot voicecomm, there are some fun servers using nippermaps, but if you know nippermaps, that's no serious game.

If you want an RPG, check out Kingdom of Loathing, but I think you already did.

Get Counter-Strike, then download Day of Defeat. Best online WW2 game I've ever played. It's not exactly an MMO though. Up to 32 players, I think.
