Help with Homeworld 2
I finally found a copy of HW2, but i've got a serious problem with it. I get the autoplay as usual, but when i click install the entire thing freezes. I even dived into the cd to change the compatability options, but it froze up then, too.
To consider the Earth as the only populated world in infinite space is as absurd as to assert that in an entire field of millet, only one grain will grow. - Metrodorus of Chios
I wept. Mysterious forces beyond my ken had reached into my beautiful mission and energized its pilots with inhuman bomb-firing abilities. I could only imagine the GTVA warriors giving a mighty KIAAIIIIIII shout as they worked their triggers, their biceps bulging with sinew after years of Ivan Drago-esque steroid therapy and weight training. - General Battuta

Check your CD. It may be scratched or in need of cleaning.

It also tends to slow down a whole lot at that point. Just walk away from your computer and come back about two hours later if the CD's okay.

that station looks a lot like the Pride of Hiigara sideways.

Nope, its just Chimera station that sees some action in the first mission. Looks purty'er there because of the pre-rendered state. :)

Tanis Station and the Mothership look pretty fantastic rendered too. :D

But yeah, I was just replaying Single Player for HW2 as well. Up to Ghenna at the moment.

Yep, Duelron1001 posted version 0.25a a little while ago, check out their thread on Relic Forums over here for the latest version, but i believe it's still in Alpha/Beta stages...

And then, there's their forum on GameWarden...here;

The mod isn't quite done yet, and it's slowed done some as of late, but when it's finished, it's going to be one hell of a game...

i'm stuck on the mission where you have to stop the bad guys from stealing part of the bentus core.  i don't have enough forces to defend my mothership and stop the carrier.
