I was just wondering why I can't attach things to my posts... I had made my first mission and was hoping I could share it with people on the forum, even though it was my first and probably sucked (except for the robotic voices. Yay GoldWave!). If i misspelled the topic title... Sorry 'bout that.

eh, you can't. admin rights only. but, you can sign up for free hosting, or, if you want, pay for it. www.geocities.com is good for minor hosting, and then there's phpnuke or etc.

I heard Freewebs file hosting is infitesmily slow, the Hades thing sounds good though. My mission uses a new ship though, and I don't know who made it so I can't get his permission to release it. But I'll tell you what happens though...

Basically, you're riding with the GTTC (Yes, GTTC) Farenheight, an upgraded Aeolus (it's got torpedoes and anti-warship beam guns ) through the Dust Clouds -- The breach point in the Sirius-Sol long range node. I used to have it be an EMP storm but it pissed me off so I switched to active lightning storm . Basically you just need to escort it untill it hits the rest of the subspace node.

On a wierder note, I was playing half-life and I got a real real short BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) with huge text and then my screen went blank. If it was restarting, I dunno, I panicked and killed my power. This happened while I was connecting to a server. Any ideas on that too? (I guess I shouldn't be asking that question here in an FS2 forum though )

If it's that Aeolus torpedo cruiser mod, it's been publicly released, so I wouldn't worry about using it. I think I remember seeing it on Sectorgame, so you oculd check there and see who made it. Though making something similar yourself would be very easy - just open the Aeolus in Modelview, and edit the POF so that it's side turrets are missile launchers instead of laser turrets (takes all of 5 seconds). Then fiddle with the Cyclops table entry to make a new weapon for it.

Alternatively, you could upload it to the MODs section of the HLP site, where you just have to register to have upload privilege, and then wait for the mission to be approved:

Select the category and click on "Submit Content" on the bottom.

Whoa. I didn't even know that existed. I'll have to remember that. And it seems that I can log into the front page now as well. Didn't know it had been fixed...
