If violence were taboo in America, Bush would have no one to fight his Crusad- I mean, his wars for him. And the sheep have to be taught that America holds the moral high ground, hence there must be legislated morality.

Of course, over this side of the ditch we've obviously got criminals in government who don't want to see their kind hurt by innocent citizens, but at least they don't try to force their ideas of morality upon us. Most of the time.

Although they do want to be able to monitor our every move... so the British government does have something in common with their American counterparts.

The thing I love about America, though, is that since we're the United states, if you don't like certain laws, you usually can just move to a different state and be done with it.

True, dat. I was referring to the right-wingers (le Pen and suchlike), who seem to have a pretty high profile (at least, they get a fair bit of news coverage) rather than actual laws. Continental Europe is excellent for the most part in terms of tolerance and respect. European society is far more grown-up than America. It's a great shame we're moving towards the latter at the moment...

EDIT: I just had a thought - this thread's title makes no sense at all. "Sims 2 worse than hot coffee" - there's nothing wrong with hot coffee. It's a damn sight better than cold coffee, at any rate...

Ah, le Pen. He's a guy for show, a loud mouth who's been around since forever. His party (the National Front, it says it all) is about the worst you can get, but le Pen is old, battered, and never achieved anything (justb got happy during the last elections because of censorshipvote against the left, which advantaged him a lot during the first round), and quite frankly, if he's the figurehead of the party, there's much worse than him (there was Maigret, for exemple, but le Pen revoqued him, so voila). I suppose there's partys like that in every country, who put national sovereignty over anything else, but they're not quite nazis, at least.

straight up, THE SIMS had NUDITY CONTENT eons before Vice City ever came out, and all you had to do was download the mods. Hell, EVEN TOMB RAIDER had NUDE RAIDER! lets be honest, if you wanted to see Duke Nukem Forever (whatever engine its using) for example, u know damn straight they would throw in that kinda content, developers or moders alike.

i mean seriously! ANYGAME thats open ended and can be modified by any user especially when the SDK's are available to the public for the usage of common sense mods, can make any kinda PORN like game.

I dont see why this guy is so concerned with the sims.  In Magna Cum Laude, all you had to do was change one line in an INI, and it removed all censoring in the game, save for a few clips.  And that said line wasn't that hard to find.  This would be a much more legitimate game to go after for slipping under the ESRB's radar.
