What a great movie.

I went in expecting trash... (the trailer was cheese), but 2.5 hours later (that is a LOOOOONG movie!), i was very impressed!  The movie kept my attention the whole time; it didn't leave many open leads in the story, and it seemed to wrap it up pretty well.  I was legitimately impressed

:D

So i recommend everyone go see it.  It's worth the money

Is it more inallekshual or more car chases and 'splosions? Despite the interesting premise (well, relatively speaking) it gives off a very Hollywood vibe from what I've seen.

So is it trying to be "The Prisoner" or is it "Logan's Run"? It looked like it couldn't quite decide from the trailer.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

i saw a documentary on that. the actress (what was her name? Scarlet Johanson?) was joking around how they would watch the stunt doubles run for their lives.

meh, i'd go watch it... if i had the money...

Fav lines from the trailers:

*Something races by*
Johanson: What was that?!
McGregor: I don't know... but I want one.

I miss you more than Michael Bay missed the mark,
When he made Pearl Harbour.
I miss you more than that movie missed the point,
And that's an awful lot girl.

And now, now you've gone away,
And all I'm trying to say,
Is Pearl Harbour sucked,
And I miss you.

I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school,
He was terrible in that film.
I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part,
He's way better than Ben Affleck.

Now, all I can think about is your smile,
And that **** movie too.
Pearl Harbour sucked,
And I miss you.

Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?
I guess Pearl Harbour sucked,
Just a little bit more than I miss you.

I just thought insulting people for disagreeing or holding an alternate opinion was considered trolling.

Perhaps I was under the wrong impression, and it's ok to throw random insults at people, then.  You ****.

Technically, it's 'read', not 'heard'.  Unless you're blind and have a one of those text-speech things setup, in which case it's correct.  But i'm not blind, so it isn't.

You people must be some uninformed bunch to actually pick a fight with ZB.

Anyway, I agree, if it's Bay, it's for the stupid usually, but it works fine for me, because of the obvious reasons.

I'll go see it, thanks for the reccomendation.
