OKay, I hope this is the last time I have to post about a problem I'm having w/ FS_2. Fs keeps CTDing after a few minutes of playing. I don't get an error pop-up. This has happened on several campaigns but it might be with other issues.

Using Fs_2 open 3.6.5. It has occured on OpenGl and D3D. I'm running on FS2 retail with the VP zpack from the SCP site.

Campaigns CTD occured on:

Derelict- on the mission Memento Mori a few speech transmissions after the Cthon shows up.

Journey to Epsilon Pegasi - during the subspace mission when the ships jump into subspace after a sathanas shows up.

Just ANother Day - during loading

I doubt this is the last time I'll post an error thing like this. I just hope it's for awhile.

I'm assuming each campaign is completely self contained within it's own mod folder and you're using the "select mod" button to pick which mod you wish to run.

If so post the last error in your errorlog.txt file (You'll find it in Freespace2\ ).

All we really need is this bit

All of my campaigns are in seperate folders but I have one vp I'm not sure what to do with. It's labeled "Kara_Temporary_asEffects_Workaround.vp."

And my error log for the last error is god knows how long. SHould I still post it?

The only thing in that VP file is the Model needed to allow the game to use seperate models for the Cain and Lilith. It shouldn't cause you any problems till the day when a high poly model comes out for those ships.

I can't say for certain if you need that with ZPack. Take it out and look at the Cain and Lilith in the techroom. IF FS2 doesn't crash you can delete it.

Like I said I only need the bit with the details I give above. If you delete the current errorlog.txt file and then run the game till it crashes again you'll find it right at the start of the newly generated file.
