My FRED2 is not working the mission are not the thing that loads it pop up for a sec and disappear can yall help me

ok i will make a mission in FRED2 i will save it exit FRED2 than start the game up than i will go in the tech room were you can play the campaign missions and your own but the games the i maid will not come up it pop up for a sec and than disappear with out loading the missions

First of all, seriously..periods are good dude..

Second, are you sure you have it set to "single missions" at the bottom, and not "campaign missions"?

In the tech room at the bottom left of the screen are you hitting the single missions button, also are you using retail fred2 or some scp version

@ Brugger: if it was 100 ships it would be classified as BoE-ish and it wouldn't work anyways.

@ Night Wolf: Personally, i recommend deleting the mission and starting over from scratch. Or, a reinstall of FS2 would do the trick.

new freders don't always know that theres a limit to how many ships the game can handle, and it sounds like he just needs to hit the single missions tab in the tech room.

when i go in the single mission it do not load up and i know the limit of ship you can put in.

when you go into the techroom, a small window pops up for a split second, but no missions load up. right?

is the mission file in the missions folder, or are you using any mods that could be breaking the mission

what tab do you have selected? Campaign missions or Singleplayer missions?

Singleplayer Mission.

did you check the missions folder to find out if the .fs2 file is in there

@ Brugger: I highly doubt that's the problem. All the FS2 singleplayer missions are in the vp.

@ Night Wolf: hmm... well, that strikes out my theory...

i recommend doing a full reinstall of FS2. that solves most of the bugs in the game.
