Reasons why the original BSG is so much superior...

[color=66ff00]1. The shots they created were so good they used them over and over.
2. Female characters were properly utilised as objects to be lusted over, there was none of this 'equality' nonsense.
3. Their actual names were Boomer and Apollo.
4. Female costumes were suitably scant, nobody in their right mind would put women in sensible attire on a military vessel.
5. Plots were more straightforward, no unnecessary twists were utilised in the storyline.
6. They had this ultra cool half dog, half robot.
7. Space is supposed to be camp.

Can you think of any more? ;)

I dunno, the original BSG was a plot twist, in the end, especially when you step back from the details and really look at it. Much like Narnia in that regard (though not nearly as well done).

10. Original BSG had a better budget as obviously proved by the fact that they could afford to have the Centurions speak.

11. Original BSG had better music. When have you seen a new series character boogie on down to one of the reimagined series tunes?

um dudes, the creators of the new series are doing it diffrently. HOW WOULD U FEEL, if some company remade Freespace 1/2 and the Shivans all of a sudden SPOKE!?

it wouldnt be l33t.... BTW dont let Omni see this thread, he'd gladly start a lil war with u guys on why the new one is vastly supirior!

I read somewhere how the original so-and-so from the old BSG is *****ing about how the show has lost it morals, how it's all dark instead of optimistic, how the religious aspect was toned down, on and on.

Screw that, I like dark. I like actual character development and plot twists. Now the Cylon basestars on the other hand look like the CG guys had 15 minutes left to finish the models, said "screw it" and hit the random extrude button.
