When I went to australia, I basically grabbed my laptop, some clothes and hopped on a plane. Being cooped up on a plane and then sitting in a hospital watching a relative sleep his way to health left me with plenty of free time to do stuff, so I decided to break out Lightwave. It is installed on my laptop, but I never use it there, because I generally only use the thing for work. I couldn't work on any projects because I didn't have any with me.

However, what I did have was a memory of game that I was playing a few months back (Front Mission 4). Here's the result of the time and effort: http://www.flickr.com/photos/404error/sets/745032/show/

For those who don't know, a Wanzer is Front Missions name for mecha. This is a work in progress. The Flickr slideshow there shows eight snapshots of the process. I've actually saved the file 31 times, so far, mostly with incremental changes, sometimes with radical changes. The missile launchers need reworking, as do the pelvis and parts of the torso (the belly guns especially). Enjoy.

To consider the Earth as the only populated world in infinite space is as absurd as to assert that in an entire field of millet, only one grain will grow. - Metrodorus of Chios
I wept. Mysterious forces beyond my ken had reached into my beautiful mission and energized its pilots with inhuman bomb-firing abilities. I could only imagine the GTVA warriors giving a mighty KIAAIIIIIII shout as they worked their triggers, their biceps bulging with sinew after years of Ivan Drago-esque steroid therapy and weight training. - General Battuta

Me likes. The missile pods are a bit... bland, but the rest is good.

And glad to hear that your dad(?) is well again. :)

Father-in-Law.

I'm working on the missle pods (horizontal arrangement instead of vertical, sitting over the shoulder instead of mounting the shoulder, munitions hatches and exhaust venting rather than open faced and louvres).

As soon as I make signifigant progress I'll post another image.

Yes, I thought everyone knew[/b]

Which makes me wonder why your name is Mikhael.  I always assumed it was a first name.

Very good Model there.

Michael is my favoritest name in the whole wide world. My name was originally going to be Michael, but my mother changed her mind at the last moment and decided to name me after my father and my grandfather (Louis and Rafael, respectively, well technically LUIS, but the gringo doctor misspelled it despite my mother's warning not to misspell it because the gringo doctor that filled out my father's birth certificate misspelled it too).

So, I almost always use the name "Michael" or some variant (Mikhael being my favorite) for forum names if its available. My son will be named Miguel (perhaps Miguel Francesco,  I don't know yet).

I've got the first draft of a 2x4 horizontal launcher done (with individual missile doors to boot!). Now on to detailing and the creation of the L-bracket.

dude... that's awesome...
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.
