A scimitar class destroyer suffers after a botched attempt to intercept a Maxwell class cargo vessel. Instead, the escorting Destroyer varient diverts heat sinks to two cannons and sets them into rapid-fire mode to account for it's maneuverability. There is no escape as the paper thin armor starts to give way.

This is probably a silly question...but why do the projectiles from the cannons arc downwards ala in an Atmospheric Setting...?

They aren't arcing.

You're seeing the turret rotating to follw its target up and then down again. Duh.
