Congrats to the TBP team!

Considering how many people were introduced to FS via a coverdisc, this should provide a great boost in both exposure and audience. :)

Way to go project people!!! What does Amdram mean?

They use two pictures from our gallery (bad ones too). Makes you wonder if they even played the game... :doubt:

I wonder... does this mean that the magazine guys would have contacted Sierra and found out they were cool with TBP, or would they have assumed it was all cool to begin with?

Well I think they probably did contact the copyright holders because there have been reqests to put star wars mods and even this one on the disk in the past (thats how I found this place :D ) but they have been turned down due to copyright issues.

wait, was it on a disk, or just the review?  If it's just the review,  don't see how copyrights apply.

and besides, Sierra has no reason not to be 'cool' with TBP, if they weren't a bunch of slacking pricks, we wouldn't need TBP

Hi all.

Well, the PC Zone article has brought in at least one new player - me.  Hurrah, etc.  :)  I'm spreading the word to as many space-combat-sim loving friends that I can think of... :)

Firstly, a big congratulations and thank you to everyon who's done a superb job on creating TBP, I've been playing it for a few days and it's superb.

Secondly, PC Zone helpfully (ha!) only included the core game files on the DVD, and neglected to include any missions or campaigns (although I'm guessing that this is because the missions & campaigns are the property of indivivual creators rather than "official" TBP files.  Still, this leaves newbies like myself somewhat puzzled - can anyone recommend a good order to start playing the campaigns though?  I've played Raider Wars and started Movements in the Mist, as well as playing a few individual missions, but I feel that I'm jumping around somewhat.  Is there a recommended order?

Thanks

ShockWave

PS: madaboutgames - I'm just down the road from you, in Freckleton.  Small world.  :)

Great, stuff, I didn't know there was a B5 mod, I loved series, and when I saw PC zone I immediately had to take a look what this is all about, great idea great stuff, I love it, I got Freespace and FRsp 2, but never thought some would use this classic game to create another game, lol. great stuff, looking forward playing it...

I played freelancer, and some cool ppl developed mods and you can buy Warlock destroyer or Minbari cruiser and play with hem, lol, but this is way cooler, hope I can also use my capitol ships as well as my fighters?

PS, my very first post here, new to the forum... :) :)

There's no real order in which the campaigns should be played.

Simply pick one which interests you and get on with it. If none of them interest you cause you'd rather play a mission in a different time period remember that the editor used by the team to make those missions is included in the package you got on the DVD along with instructions on how to use it. :D
