From the British/Scottish slang I've heard people use on this board, I'd say that it's a far greater butchery of the English language than anything I've ever heard anyone say in this country.

I wonder how he distinguishes between "doing an adequate job" and "going above and beyond the call of duty".  Surely losing an entire allied installation doesn't qualify as "doing an adequate job"?
