How big can things really get? Giant model I have
Well it IS an ancient skin I made 6 months ago. As a side note, if everyone is saying my ship looks like the Hades, then where is a pic of it? I never seen the hades before!
I have created a masterpiece.

Well, since you did open it up :drevil:

The madness. Although its only 9clicks in length and hardly the biggest thing around, it doesn't need size to win...after all, when your weapons feed on the very sanity of the surrounding universe as well as your enemy's crews, in most scenarios there is little else that you need.

FS2 Techroom. Ships.

Ctrl+Shift+S

The only thing similar are the engines really, but it's similar enough because Hades is the only one with that kind of an engine configuration in the entire FS universe.

I did look in the tech room No hades. Maybe I can extract that model, I did see it in the data tables.
I have created a masterpiece.

If you're running the SCP, try hitting F3 at the main menu;  you should be able to see the Hades from in there.

Too late, already extracted the model and it looks... like a stick really. I think I saw it in the FS2 intro, that crashed hulk on Deneb when the text '32 years later' showed up.
I have created a masterpiece.

Hades is fundamental to Silent Threat, FS1 expansion pack.

Most people didn't get what the hell ST was about. Can't blame them really either. Wasn't as straight-forward as FS1 or 2.

Vengance - about that story of yours..

[rant mode on - ignore this if you want]
Physics aside, let's use logic here..

How come that ship of your can take off the ground again after a chrash like that? Especially since it's engine power wasn't enough to stop it from falling down?

correct me if I'm wrong, but for something to fly outside of hte atmosphere it's lift has to be greater than the force of gravity that's pulling it down...

And about that magical armor..I wo'nt even comment that

lol, I know I know. And the reason why the engines couldn't get them out of the grav pull was that the ramming ships went down with them and pushed the ship towards the planet horizontally parallel to the planet and not perpendicular so it fell down. And if you read it I said -skipping ahead-. Alot of stuff happend before they managed to take off and they had to scuttle all 250 mechs for their reactors and... no more, to much story gets boring. But think of this: I read that a second super star destroyer was hidden upside down on Coruscant and when it launched it had huge repulsar drives under it and used it's main engines to lift off. That ssd is 5km longer than my ship and lifted off, whats stopping my ship from doing that?

Crash nonwithstanding, it makes perfect sense, it takes time to accelerate. It's entirely possible that it's dwonwards velocity was too much for the ship's drives to overcome in the time it had before it hit the ground.

Though somthing is accelerating in one direction, does not mean it cannont move in another.
actualy, mabye not.

Which matter was created from energy to form this armour?

How should I know? I haven't taken physics or advanced chemistry yet! I'll just let the scientists in my fictional realm to the thinking, I just add things to the story.

Hmm...recently I took a Layman's dive into membrane physics. The following is technobable on a possible *smirk* 'solution':

Call it a super heavy element, an as of yet only proposed 'stable island' among the heavy elemets where the electron configuration is once again stable - extremely stable to boost.

A new form of electron configuration, something even more exotic than the f-shell in the lantanides and actinides.
Let's call it g-shell.
It's present only in super heavy elements and in fact physicaly couldn't exist - according to pre-membrane physics (currently the leading theory in particle physics presenting a unified field/force theory).

Since it takes singularity (or close to) energy levels to create such matter you either:
a) Mine a neutron star (unlikely given their nasty radiation)
b) Create it in minute quantities with über powered particle accelerators...
c) Stumble on it by accident: - remnants from a Big Boom, or an advanced civilisation

The reason why the g-shell is so nice (and impenetrable) is that it attracts gravitons a lot better than conventional elements.
As a result the g-shell elements fuse into a huge molecule/atomic-net on their own.
(They also present an engineering challenge as they can crush nearby structures too).

Can you say "Adamantium?" Anyway I'd like to see this developed as a fanfic but toned down for a campaign. Anything too uber kills the enjoyment.

On a side note remember the Dyson Sphere? How about Pure Nuetronium.. ENT-D couldn't cut their way in/out even through the thin docking doors...

Have you youngsters ever played a game called Lunar Lander? In 1981-83 had a subscription to a magazine that had programs in it you typed in the computer. 999 lines of code later you had a game in COLOR (woot! Go TRS-80 Color computer II with 64k and extened memory!!!), sorry :D

Anyway it recreated landing as an apollo mission and let me tell you I bounced that sucker all over the place (99% of the time with FATAL results!). Under the right circumstances your downward velocity can outstrip your thrust's ability to keep yourself aloft even under ideal gravity conditions. Regardless, the end result WON'T be pretty...

*Groan*

(Parody mode on)

Actually, I had this 60's theme in my head (my remix of course)...

"When Captain America throws his mighty shield, Kara knows that soon his head will reel! And Adam, and Raa, and The Shivans have fright, when Captain America comes in sight. When Captain America THROWS HIS MIGHTY SHIELD!!!!"

(Parody mode off)

Sorry folks...

Go Adamantium!!!!!

You know? I actually understood that. Glad I can understand science jargon real well:cool: . About (b)... that is VERY close what was thought of in my head. Firestorm requires tremendous ammounts of energy just to make a small ammount. But I'm not sure about the particle accelerator part because when I was thinking about the armor I was trying to reverse the formula and thought very hard how slow energy particles would have to be moving and how much had to be concentrated to form a matter. Anyways, the Eternity may be nearly invincible but the planet fall part was it's FIRST mission and with it's entire underside practically gone it was retired to planetary defence and the Firestorm removed and replaced with another alloy (in my story the replacement alloy was called Ditanium -something thats like diamonds and titanium combined. Ditanium ISN'T an element, it is multiple layers titanium with a diamond layer in its core layer. In my story a colonized planet that had a large meteor ring around it in high orbit that was loaded with titanium and diamonds and this planet's industry devised a new alloy that is more heat, energy, and projectile resistant than either element alone). So the Eternity is no longer uber.

God I got to stop making huge posts!
I have created a masterpiece.
