/me sees a new AFD joke for next year
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

That'd be pretty miserable, actually.  You might as well close the forums for a week.  Oh, wait... :nervous:

For the most part. There are a few characters shared from the Script font.

Now we just have to figure out what to do about those numerals. :D [/B]

Meh. :o

Believe it or not the script font isn't actually that hard to learn. I intentionally tried to make the individual characters look like their Terran counterparts.

I'm thinking of making the Vasudan text variable width instead, for better nameplating. Thoughts?

Yes.  Though I'm still not clear on how Vasudans would nameplate their ships, I'm excited about the prospect of being able to try it.  Variable width would be most excellent :)

Actually, I spent some time once doodling up some Vasudan numerals, with justifications on why they looked the way they did.  I can scan them if you'd like.

Yeah, I noticed.  That might be considered cheating. :p

Based on the text Galemp's already made, I think the best way to go about Vasudan numerals would be the dot/line system, where you've got each digit represented by a sequence or pattern of simple symbols.  It'd be really cool to let Vasudans use a different base (How many fingers do Vasudans have?  Because their number system would probably be based on that) and to design the numbers accordingly.  However, random symbols for the numbers is probably not the best idea if you want to use them for that.

/me still thinks that there shouldn't be nameplates on vasudan vessels, though. He thinks that that's a distinctively Terran idea. Symbols would work fine, or individual letters representing words, like asian characters, but not nameplates in a terran sense.

What, pretell, happened to the Vasudan script font? It's not working for me any longer. Just a blank true tyupe file font.

A shame, really.
And also, these letters look too much like the western standard letters :p

And yet, I still can't read a word of it.

I know, you have to install the font first :p

But in all seriousness, how are we supposed to tell the difference between the '3' in the script and the 'm'?  They are different characters, but not even as different as 'm' and 'M' in Ariel.

Install it.  Under XP it's as easy as dropping it in WINDOWS\Fonts.

Thank you!

Finally a Vasudan font!

Thank you so Much Galemp! When the Headz hunt begins, you shall be spared above the rest!

*runs off to install font... takes some headz with him :headz:

No one becomes depraved all at once.

I followed Snipes quite wide and far,
And he led us to an unknown star,
But as soon as I surveyed the scene,
A great Sathanas did fill my screen,
As it rushed forward for a jump,
The both of us seemed destined to bump,
Until I heard Snipes, not too quiet,
“Dive, Dive!! Hit your burners, pilot!!!!” -Trayus

Vasudan script file seems to be either corrupt, or my windows is acting up.
