All is well for humankind. Despite a minor disagreement with a passionate
race called the Esodan, the Star Alliance has continued its exploration and
expansion throughout their local area of the Milky Way Galaxy. 250 years of
peace has proven to be a valuable asset for humankind and the Star Alliance.
Little do they realise there is a silent threat in the distance. A dark race
of parasites that can occupy and control a biological body and share its
intelligence telepathically and collectively amongst the entire race, and
the Milky Way is on their galactic agenda. Centuries ago, a species
discovered some dreadful news of the impending threat. They devised a plan
to preserve their species and their culture. Their defence was to be
directed by a new Artificial Intelligence that could be smart enough and
tough enough to withstand the approaching danger. They believed that the
dark parasite race would not be able to occupy a mechanical, artificial
body, so the Phaistos AI was born to preserve the Milky Way Galaxy. The
Phaistos AI had quiet beginnings. They learned all they could by watching
their creators until they reached the threshold. The Phaistos AI finally
devised a plan of their own to preserve the Milky Way galaxy by coming up
with a motto - prevention is better than a cure. They believed if there were
no biological entities in the Milky Way Galaxy, the dark parasite race would
have no control, and move on. The Phaistos AI immediately destroyed their
creators and every living thing in sight. They then continued their mission
to terminate the remainder of life in the galaxy.
