I have my chemistry exam tomorrow.

Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Exam Exemptions are wonderful, arent they ;)

Seriously though, good luck with it.

Lesse, I'll get these in 3 weeks, all together in a week time:

French
German
History
Sociology
Biology
(alll of the above twice, I  missed the last run of tests)
Latin
Sciences
Some stuff I  forgot.

And then I still have tests, just no exams, in Physics, Chem, English, Dutch, and some other stuff.

And I must convince my Biology teacher that I don't want to learn all summer. And I should also learn the actual material, by the way. :)

Knowledge and the ability of persuation makes a perfect pair.

Fortunately, there will be no more Chemistry for me.

Chemistry is so damn easy, just learn the periodic tables.  Hell, I got a 90 on the test.

Depends on the level you study it at. :)

Chemometics for instance is the Devil's science in that you can only understand it after having made a demonic pact :D

Organic chem is nice and easy though I'll agree :)

The difficulty of subjects depends on what country you are living in, which school you are studying at and who your teacher is.
Three factors.

Chemistry is quite hard if you learn it in a 'normal' Hungarian high school.

The teacher is the biggest factor. I had two teachers for Grade 12 Chemistry. The first guy was great, I remembered most of what he said, but he was only filling in because the other was off pregnant.
She was the single worst teacher I ever had. I got numerous detentions because I dont take many notes in class. I never had. Its not how I remember things. Of all the things to get written up for, not taking notes was it. After that I got them for "being disrespectful".
I called her an idiot, and with good reason. If someone didnt understand something, she would tell them that it was their fault, not hers and make them read the textbook, which is pretty useless.
She came back in the second half of the year, after we got our midterm marks. I got a 90% then. At the end of the year, my mark dropped to a 70%. Pretty much evryone in the class had their mark drop by at least 10% when she returned. You'd think this would have raised some eyebrows in the administration, but no. Snatchface (what my class nicknamed her) is still there teaching.

sounds like one of my former lecturers.....

Sounds like the idiot I have for Sciences. (Our school uses that nominer to teach us the coherence between Physics, Maths, Chem and Biology :doubt: )

Accept she is too bloody afraid to tell me anything. I can teach her about the contents of the book, the general subject, and even about the bit of psychology bit needed for teaching. In class, when she tells something completely wrong (has happened) and I correct her, she just says 'Well, I think he's right' and goes on. Aside from getting my class to except me, I think I can be a better teacher then her. And with good ground too, because I actually do explain bits of the matter to co-students, when they missed her explanation.

I'm afraid she had her pregnancy last year, and child no.2 isn't hurrying up enough to help me.

And don't get me started on the idiot I had for French in years 1 through 3. We had a replacement due to her being pregnant in year 1. I got 7/10, even once a 10/10. Now, aside from the bit of reading we do, I get 3/10, 2/10. My new teacher (year 4 now) is helping me recover a bit, but it won't get me through my exams easily. And I still can't order a bloody bread in French. (Not the one I want anyway)

A-Level chemistry was fun, as I discovered everything I'd learned at GCSE was lies

I think I got through it alive actually.
Now I've got Algebra II and English to study for...
I need to be able to recognize and give the significance of any quote the teacher decides to give us from:
Dubliners by James Joyce
Canterbury Tales by Chaucer
The Stranger by Albert Camus
Candide by Voltaire
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and...
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess

    • Karajorma's Freespace FAQ
I remember having a furious row with a biology teacher about evolution. Not about whether it was real or not but because he kept refering to animals doing things for the good of the species which is completely wrong.

It rather worried me that I'd read one book on the subject and yet knew more about it  than a biology teacher.
