Edit : They're the words to a clash song jdj, he was just reminding his lead singer of the words.

And writing lyrics is a long job no matter how you do it, what sounds like inspired rhetoric one day sounds like self hating drivel the next

It could have been worse, the Clash have a plethora of lyrics that would make the cops jump.

When they kick down your front door, how you gonna come, with your hands on your head or on the trigger of your gun? When the law break in, how you gonna go, shot down on the pavement or waiting on death row?
