No sane person would ever actually want to work in London....... the cost of living is by far the highest in the UK (most people can't afford to buy a house there), it's number one in the big-list-o'-terrorist -targets, the tube doesn;t work, and the average starting wage is the lowest - in real terms - of anywhere in the UK.  Unfortunately, it's also where a whopping 40% of jobs in field are.

Feck.

(and no, the Scots never get along with the English.  At least in terms of the media - the common-as-muck english people we have no problem with, it's just the way Scottish issues are ignored by the national news...and when something does happen up here, they send an english reporter to cover it, rather than using the local Scots.  And soforth, on many, many things which serve to put a chip of our shoulder.

As far as my history goes, Scots never liked the English, Welsh never liked English, and the English never liked anyone, including the French, Germans, Irish, Americans,..... But as long as you don't call a Scot an Irishman, or a Welshman an Englishman, you won't really notice it.

The scots were irish at one stage, scots, irish and welsh are of celtic stock while the brits are germanic. Nice work Aldo.
