Author Topic: Cloakmap/3d Shockwave  (Read 1500 times)

Where can these be found?  I downloaded the mv_zpack and the readme says the cloakmap.pcx is supposed to be in mv_core.vp but its not.  All of the textures for the shockwave are in another vp but I can't find the actual model anywhere.

I believe the model is in adveffects, and the old effect is in effects.

I don't know what the status on the cloaking stuff is, I think it may not work anymore.

Thanks for the shockwave link.

I was just playing around with the cloaking stuff and was just wondering what the pcx was made up of.  I just want to see what it looks like.

i thought i disabled cloaking a really long time ago.  The map is some lightning looking thing

The map was only being used as a coverup while the craft was being cloaked?

Yeah, I believe that was the general idea.  The feature never got proper support AFAIK, it was just a graphical trick that you could toggle with a cheat and couldn't be assigned, didn't affect gameplay, and only worked for the player.
