Add Requiem of a Dream theme to that list and I'm happy, definitely overused though. Heh.

I can easily imagine the first part of the track being dedicated to dramatic fights and losses, and when it get's tensioned and quiet, and loud again, the Sathanas comes in and basically pwn everyone and everything, and even more Sathanais, and the Colossus getting pwned. ANd when it's starting to fade out, you'll see the GTD Whatwasi'tsname destroying the subspace tunnel and some kind of outro, picturing the giant losses.

All in all, I'm thinking of a very dramatic and sad movie.

EDIT2: In the louder part, where it get's a bit quiter again, you could put in the Sathanas destruction, only to discover more Sathanais.

The problem is that it's far too overused. When somebody hears it, they think "darn it, not another garbage fan movie" and close it.

has a lot of diversity of mood but has a sense of very dark cold vastness throughout it.
in articular I always thought it would be cool to have a shot of an asteroid field periodically getting lit by faint but growing orangish flashed of light, and then just as the music starts playing hard a basilist comes flying across and explodes followed by the camera shifting to a battle where Shivans are masacaring some GTA fighters.

Yeah, if there's one thing that I've always loved about the EVE Online community, they make tons of videos, to all sorts of awesome music.  It'd be cool to see a lot of that around here I think.  Maybe one way would be to record some of the memorable moments in the games, without music, and think what would go really well with it in certain situations.  I might start doing some of this when I get a new rig built that can actually Fraps decently.

FRAPS tip: have it record to another partition / or better yet another HD that has been recently defragged.    For taking screenies in FRAPS, tell it to save as BMP and the recompress to PNG or JPG afterwards, that way there's no (well, less) lag as it gets encoded.
