Irregular Webcomic!: Guy makes cartoons with his Lego minifigs and roleplaying miniatures, then annotates them. Dozens of individual storylines and the ultimate in geeky webcomics.

Perry Bible Fellowship: Weekly strip with a Gary Larson-like sense of the absurd and the morbid. Absolutely hilarious; the archive is required reading.

Red Meat: Minimalist and surreal, the musings of Bug-Eyed Earl, Ted, Milkman Dan and Johnny Lemonhead are three parts humor to two parts nausea.

PA's long since fallen into the rut of "see something happen in the games industry, and gabe and tycho come up with some jaded, cynical, or otherwise smartarsed comments about it"

I wouldn't quite agree with that statement. They cover a 360 degree range of events, while most of them just happen to be games, because their core audience is most easily and likely to understand those jokes.

As far as their comedy goes, it's on a much higher level than PvP, 8-bit, VG Cats, Ctrl-Alt, etc. It's not a coincidence they're the most popular. Holkins knows his **** well and Krahulik evolved into more or less an unparalleled graphic designer from the begining days.

Well, I did a little checking of some of hte comics..

Flipside I don't like much..not becouse of hte drawing style, but becouse of the sheer uberness. People moving at lightspeeds and uber-super-extra-wonderfull swordmasters get on my nerves..

Outsider looks nice. Like it so far... the Loroi look like a mix between Vulcans and Night Elves. don't kow why you get thge idea that it's more real than most sci-fi..so far I havn't gotten that impression. Telephaty, as far as I'm concerned is bull****, especially between different races.
Like the ship design..very robotech-ish

and you forgot the collset comic ever on that list:

Read the Insider - check the forums. We're a bunch of hard sci-fi nuts.
Battle takes place on a lightseconds scale.
Some elements - telepathy, FTL drive ect. - are true fantasy, but at least they are treated in a sensible manner. Ergo if someone has telekinetic abilities, they don't bother with the overused 'throw crap at people' scheme they simply remote-rip-your-guts-out.
"I was going to become a speed dealer. If one stupid fairytale turns out to be total nonsense, what does the young man do? If you answered, “Wake up and face reality,” you don’t remember what it was like being a young man. You just go to the next entry in the catalogue of lies you can use to destroy your life." - John Dolan

Janos, if you want hard to get, try Cat and Girl. I feel like a genius every time I understand one of the jokes. Freaking yuppie intelligensia, ruining my fun.

Hehe, I started reading that from your link. Brilliant stuff... I like the pirate strip and the Thomas Jefferson references.

Go Girly <-- A silly adventure story featuring two crazy girls and a marshmallow kitty.
Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman
