Make sure that things that shouldn't be specularly reflective aren't...apply a specular map that corresponds to the positions of the big lava cracks to help with this. And for a little more realistic effects, add some random spots on the terrain that don't show up as shiny.

Good, though.

Fourth and fifth are the same planet viewed from different angles. I figure if you have multiple battles in the same system, wouldn't you be seeing different sides? Even if you didn't move, there are such things as the orbit and rotation of the planet...
But anyway. I actually don't know when my terraformed/Earthlike planets are coming, since it turn out to be much easier to make a spherical rock than a nice green planet with actual geographic features other than cracks.
