heres another, I was using Sandwich's Capship turret upgrade and I was going against a raksasha. That thing threw me all over the place... then I destroyed the weapons subsystem, and it missed every time since...  

Still, I recomend you try it

In a mission I was playing on hard, a Lucifer came out of a Knossos portal near the end of the mission while an argo and an azrael were docked.  I was 100m behind the two transports.  The lucifer jumped in and fired an LRed at the transports, unfortunately the Lucifer was still going at 200m/s and the beam fried me.
Power to the Canadian facist conspiracy plot!

Once i pushed a cain class destroyer up to a speed of 90 m/s with an erinyes and d. ms

LOL - the first time I played that mission I had the sound up a bit more than normal. Snipes' (Lt. Christopher, not "My middle name is 'Spam'") shouting made me jump a bit in my seat and I immediatly paused the game to see what the **** was happening...

I set the new fighter beams I created (see modding forum) with a mass of about 2...
 At a refire rate of 0.01 and a speed of 10000, the target ship (my Magellan cruiser- a little heavier than a fenris) soon accelerated to over 1000...
 And I had to spend ages catching up with it to finish it off!

Freespace 1 - I actually killed the scorpion with a bank of Fury missiles, and the ML-16 laser. It took about 10 minutes, because I couldn't see the thing, but it was stupid

Once I typed "arrrwalktheplank" over and over again, until the entire area was flooded with pirate ships
